Dishwasher malfunctions

Problem 1: The dishwasher is not working at all

If the dishwasher is not working at all,

Check the following: Make sure that the electrical connections and the electricity to the dishwasher.

Make sure the water source for the washing machine, that the valve supplying water is fully open and that there is already water.

Make sure the dishwasher door is closed tightly.

Make sure that the dishwasher filter is not closed due to the accumulation of grease and dirt (the dishwasher filter is located on the floor of the washing machine from the inside).

Note:

In order to solve the problems of dishwashers related to its internal parts, the washing machine must be disconnected from the electricity before starting any procedure!

Problem 2: The dishwasher does not heat the water

When the dishwasher does not heat the water needed to clean the dishes and plates, then the problem may be either in the heating element (heater) or in the thermostat, and these two parts must be checked by a specialist because it requires dismantling the dishwasher from the back and knowing how to replace it if it is proven to be malfunctioning.

- Sometimes there is a malfunction in the dishwasher’s programming, so try restarting the dishwasher by unplugging it for one minute, and then plugging it back in.

Problem 3: The dishes are not clean

In the event that the dishes are unclean (which is one of the most common dishwasher malfunctions and problems), this problem can be solved by following the following:

1 - Try to choose the longer program, as the fats in the dishes may be a lot and you need a longer program than the one you usually use.

2 - The sprinklers may be closed and need to be cleaned, as the sprinklers push the water needed for the cleaning process, you may need to use a needle or a small pin to clean the small holes if they are closed due to food residues.

3 - Be sure to clean the dishwasher filter, periodically.

4- Dishes and plates must be properly placed and arranged in the dishwasher and according to the instructions in the manual for use (for example, the cups are down, the large plates are in the lower rack, etc.).

5- Do not fill the dishwasher more than it can hold, as this may cause poor cleaning efficiency.

6 - The problem may be in the cleaning agent used. If you use powdered detergents, be sure to adjust the quantity according to the dishwasher's instructions. It is recommended to use special cleaning tablets as an alternative to powders.

7 - The rinse aid (polisher) may not be enough, increase the required standard.

Problem 4: Water collects in the dishwasher

If you notice that there is water on the floor of the dishwasher from the inside after the washing process is finished and that it does not drain, then the problem is limited to one of the following parts:

1 - The dishwasher filter, as it may be closed due to the accumulation of fat and food residues, it must be cleaned from time to time, by following the instructions written in the dishwasher's user manual.

2 - The drain pipe, as it may also be closed due to the accumulation of food residues, or it may be closed due to its bending or installation in an incorrect position. Inspect the downspout from start to finish and make sure it drains properly. Follow the instructions written in the user manual to learn how to install it correctly.

Problem 5: Too Much Foam

One of the most common dishwasher malfunctions is the presence of too much foam inside the dishwasher tub, which could be the cause:

1 - Clean the plates and dishes with regular dishwashing liquid before placing them in the dishwasher. These detergents cause suds during the dishwasher cycle.

2 - Part of the rinse aid spills into the dishwasher while it is being filled, be careful not to spill the rinse aid into the dishwasher, and wipe up any spilled parts immediately.
